During the festival Taste the Mediterranean and festival Rendez-vous, on Thursday 28th May 2015 at 20 pm in the gallery of St. Krševan, will be the opening of the photo exhibition “Imagine France” of the French author Maia Flore.
Maia Flore was born in 1988. She graduated from the Ecole des Gobelins, and since 2011 is a member of the Agency VU. Concerned with exploring the boundaries of the real and the imaginary, her works often achieve surreal qualities. The first series of photos Sleep Elevations began in Sweden, and then continued to improve in the Arts Center of Berkeley, California. Her work is first presented in 2011 at the Festival of young European photography Circulation(s) in Paris. Within the project Carte blanche, in cooperation Atout France and the French Institute, Maia Flore deals with France’s cultural heritage in the series “Imagine France – A fantastic journey” (Imagine France – Le voyage fantastique). These dreamy photos will be presented in Croatia.
