Mediterranean flavors at the Excelsior Hotel in Dubrovnik

For the first time, the Taste the Mediterranean international festival is hosted at the magnificent Hotel Excelsior and presents world-renowned chefs, who, in cooperation with the host chefs, will prepare dinners that make it worth spending the weekend at Adriatic Luxury Hotels.
On Thursday, October 3, at the Dubrovnik Welcomes Italy dinner, chef Damiano Nigro , from the Ape Vino e Cucina restaurant in Alba, the world-famous capital of white truffles, will be a guest. Chef Nigro has behind him a rich career and experience in blending local traditions and flavors, creating original delicacies. He earned 1 Michelin star at the Villa d’Amelia restaurant. A sumptuous six-course menu, accompanied by top wines from the Croatian wineries, will be prepared together with chef Mate Matić from the Dubrovnik restaurant Vapor.
On Friday, October 4, at the Dubrovnik welcomes France and Japan dinner, chef Ippei Uemura , from the Tabi restaurant in Marseille (3 Gault&Millau France, Michelin plates), will be a guest. Chef Uemura is an ambassador of Japanese cuisine in France and French cuisine in Japan. Recently he has been working in a series about Japanese cuisine filmed by Netflix. A combination of Mediterranean ingredients and Japanese fish processing techniques characterize his culinary skills. Together with his Dubrovnik host, chef Peter Obad, he will also prepare a six-course dinner accompanied by top Croatian wines.
Both dinners are held in the “Salin” restaurant of the Excelsior Hotel. The original flavors of local ingredients and wine in unique culinary creations by top chefs will be accompanied by musical performances by soprano Sandra Bagarić and pianist Darko Domitrović The price of this exclusive gourmet musical arrangement for one evening is 180 euros per person.
