BRODET
Classic Croatian Dalmatian food- brodet, seafood stew typically served with creamy polenta. It is rich and has a great depth of flavour due to the mixture of seafood used in the dish. Ideally, there are minimum of three types of fish and shellfish. This Croatian cuisine is served in homes thru the whole Dalmatia but also in the restaurant. It is usually served with polenta or rice.
CRNI RIŽOT- BLACK RISOTTO
Crni rižot is for the brave seafood fans only! This dish has an intense seafood flavour and it made of fresh squid or cuttlefish. This risotto is dyed black by breaking the cuttlefishes’ ink sacs onto the rice near the end of the cooking process. Traditionally comes from the coastal areas of Croatia, from Istria to Dubrovnik, and the best are served in „Dalmatian Konobas“ (typical family run restaurant).
GRILLED FISH
Croatia can thank the Adriatic Sea for being so clear and for providing so many fish species, healthy and delicious. Grilled fish cannot be more traditional way of preparing Sardinas, Sea Bream, Seabass or Dentex from Istria, thru the islands to Dubrovnik. Olive oil, salt and parsley are the main ingredients to prepare grilled fish. It is a MUST TRY dish while in Croatia; we promise you will enjoy every bite!
