Chefs Sandra i Dane Tahirović
Sandra and Dane Tahirović are the owners and chefs of the Zora bila restaurant, crowned with 3 Gault & Millau toques. This private and business tandem proves that great success comes with a lot of effort. Zorabila is today one of the most respected restaurants in Split. Although their culinary visions differ, Sandra is imaginative, a bit unrestrained, and Dane is calmer, more traditional- their cuisine is a real explosion of taste. They use exclusively seasonal, local ingredients that are a guarantee of quality, and the menu inspired by the Mediterranean is never the same! They have been cultivating an interesting concept in their restaurant for years and in 2019 they presented a menu that included the 50 healthiest ingredients in the world. After moving to an elite address in Split, the waterfront of the famous Bačvice beach, they began to organize very successful “hedo Wednesdays”, dinners at a very reasonable price with a tasting menu paired with wines from small and often unknown producers.
Their work was recognized by the citizens of Split and guests from other parts of Croatia and abroad. In the Croatian edition of the gastronomic guide Gault & Millau Croatia 2019, Zora bila was rated as the best restaurant in the city of Split, and this year the Tahirović couple won the Gault & Millau Trophy of the Great Chefs of tomorrow.
