Chef Vesna Miletić
Winner of the Gault&Millau Croatia Traditional cuisine chef of the year 2019 trophy, Vesna Miletić, is the chef of the Tač Restaurant in Zagreb, crowned with 3 Gault&Millau toques. She graduated from University of Zagreb, Faculty of Political Science and worked in the tourism sector for 15 years. But her love of food and cooking changed her life path. She opened her first restaurant in Opatija with her husband Tihomir, and they opened ResTač restaurant in Zagreb in 1999. From the very beginning, the food they served was like homemade and Tač restaurant is famous mainly because of the first class ingredients. Over the years, chef Vesna has gained immense experience and developed her capacity of “extracting” the best from each ingredient. Although Istrian and Mediterranean type of cuisine are closest to her heart, Vesna finds inspiration in the traditional flavours of all the cuisines of the wider region. She participated at the Food ‘in Sud festival in Marseille as a member of the Croatian team.
