Chef Marin Rendić
The owner and chef of the restaurant Bistro Apetit by Marin Rendić in Zagreb has been present on the domestic gastronomic scene for 22 years. He went from being chef in numerous restaurants throughout the Adriatic and in the continental part of Croatia, running his own restaurant Pepenero in Novigrad to training in the famous restaurants Arzak in Spain and Noma in Denmark.
His culinary skills and creativity were rated by the prestigious gastronomic guide Gault & Millau Croatia 2020 with 16 out of a possible 20 points and awarded with three chef’s hats, and in the last four years Rendić has won the recommendations of the Michelin guide.
He is one of the initiators of the #chefkuhadoma (#chefcooksathome) initiative, which in recent months has broadcast video announcements of Croatian chefs and attracted tens of thousands of followers on social media. He is the author of the book “Kitchen from the sea depth” (2005) and “With a touch of the sea and salt” (2012), a participant in the TV show “Masterchef” in 2011, and he recorded his own culinary show “Grill Boss”.
Rendić is also a good connoisseur of wine and olive oils, and he uses modern techniques and trends in making his imaginative gastronomic creations in the kitchen.
