“Broad beans with maneštra”
For 6 persons

2 large onions
3 cloves of garlic
1 bunch of parsley
1 kg broad beans
0,4 kg bacon or Dalmatian prosciutto
0,4 kg pasta as maccheroni or penne
4 table spoons of extra virgin olive oil
Salt, pepper, sweet red pepper
Tomato paste
Put 2.5 / 3 litres of cold water into the pot.

Preparation of dalmatian pesto:

Chop onions, garlic, bacon or Dalmatian prosciutto and parsley. Put the mixture in the cold water with 4 table spoons of extra virgin olive oil and boil for 20-25 minutes.
Add broad beans and stew until it becomes soft. Add pasta and cook until it is done ( around 10 minutes) . Salt, pepper, red sweet pepper and a littlle bit of tomato paste are the only spices used in this receipe.
At the end strew it with chopped fresh persley.
