Chef Hrvoje Zirojević
Holder of the title Chef of the year Gault&Millau Croatia 2019, Hrvoje Zirojević, was born in Split, where he fell in love with cooking from an early age, watching his mother and grandmother. Today, he is one of the most respected Croatian chefs, and is currently chef de cuisine and manager of the restaurant Laganini on the Palmižana island, which received 4 Gault&Millau toques. Besides delighting numerous guests with his culinary masterpieces, he teaches at University College Aspira in Split, at the study program of Gastronomy and is a regular guest lecturer at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija, where he transfers his rich knowledge and experience to younger generations.
Restaurant Laganini is situated in the bay of Vinogradišće and you’ll be enjoying your seafood dishes, for which chef Zirojević is widely known, in a truly special setting right by the sea. Despite the summer crowds and bustle, chef Zirojević maintains a high level of quality of his dishes and successfully manages the kitchen team.
Except the Gault&Millau Croatia Chef of the year trophy, he has won numerous culinary awards in Croatia and abroad, among others, he took the victory in the Cro Top 10 – the culinary competition of the best Croatian chefs and is the first Croatian chef who won the silver medal at the World Cup in Moscow.
