Chef Georgiana Viou
The French chef from Benin has a university degree in language, and her culinary success began with winning the 3rd place in the “Le Taittinger des Cordons Bleus” competition in 2009. A year later, Georgiana Viou became a finalist in the culinary show Masterchef in France.
This was followed by an internship at La Villa Khariessa under the mentorship of chef Lionel Levy, and later collaborations with other famous chefs, such as Anthony Bourdain. She run her own TV show “Chez Georgiana” and published her cookbook.
In 2015, she opened her first restaurant “Chez Georgiana” in Marseille, for which she won 2 toques Gault & Millau and the Young Talent of the Year award. Shortly afterwards, she participated in the opening of the La Piscine restaurant, where she also became a chef. In the coming months, she plans to open a new restaurant where guests will be offered a combination of Benin’s culinary richness and traditional French cuisine.
