Chef Anastasios Paraskeyaidis
The young Greek chef Anastasios Paraskeyaidis already has an enviable career behind him. He opened a small restaurant in his hometown at an early age. “I wanted to give people a sense of pleasure that stays on their palate after fine food.”
However, after a few years, he realized that his small environment was not enough for his professional development and that he had to move on. After graduating from the Culinary Institute in Thessaloniki – he was the best student – he started working alongside some of the best Greek chefs in renowned restaurants and elegant resorts on the islands. Federico della Vecchia and Giorgos Papadopoulos were among his mentors. It was then that he realized the richness of Mediterranean Greek food and decided to dedicate himself entirely to it. Two years ago, he became the chef of the new exclusive resort Mount Athos, in the popular tourist destination Ierissos, in the Greek region of Halkidiki.
From the very beginning, he delighted the guests with his colorful dishes that rely on Greek tradition, but which the chef interprets in his own way, using the acquired knowledge of modern gastronomy.
