9th International Taste the Mediterranean Festival in Split, from 6 to 9 October
50 days separate us from the Festival Taste the Mediterranean, a unique event dedicated to Mediterranean food, gastronomy, products and Mediterranean culture of living, which will be held in Split, from 6 to 9 October 2021. Launched after the inclusion of the Croatian Mediterranean diet at UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage, Taste the Mediterranean brings together top world and domestic Mediterranean chefs, crowned with Michelin stars, Gault & Millau toques, 50 World’s Best awards, as well as food producers, winemakers and other professionals in the field of gastronomy, agriculture, landscape, sustainable tourism and fisheries, food journalists and foodies. In addition to professional workshops, lectures and panels, the program includes educational masterclasses held by world culinary stars and several Mediterranean dinners in the best restaurants in Split (local + guest chef). Dedicated both to professionals and a wider audience, the festival attracts more and more visitors and tourists every year. Sharing experiences, education and networking are the main goals of the Festival Taste the Mediterranean, as well as enjoying good food and good company. The TTM Festival has been held eight times so far (4 in Šibenik, 1 in Rovinj, 2 in Hvar and 1 in Split, last year) and in less than ten years has gained a good reputation on the domestic and international scene and has become one of the unavoidable international gourmet events. in this part of the Mediterranean.
Croatia, together with Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Morocco and Cyprus, is included in the UNESCO representative list of countries whose Mediterranean diet is recognized as the intangible cultural heritage of mankind.
